Get to know the Artist

My desire to create started when I was young.

I used to store my notebook in the back of my mother's passenger seat and on the way to school I would doodle every morning and every afternoon. These drawings mostly consisted of animals, specifically horses. If you were lucky enough to meet the energetic 2nd grade version of me, you'd know that when I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up that I'd quickly say, "I want to be an artist."

Now, I won't lie when I say that I grew out of this dream for awhile. I began to have doubts that it was too good to be true to make a living off of a passion. So, I followed safer ways into adulthood. I didn't know what this meant for me, and I didn't know where I'd end up. I decided to study wildlife biology at the University of Georgia, where I received my bachelors degree. I knew my love for animals and wildlife ran deep, but still didn't see where I was going.

Somewhere in the process of my college life I started doing pet portraits for friends and family. After posting a few of these portraits to my social platforms people quickly started taking interest. My love for creating art sparked again, and each commission gave me the opportunity to work with a new creative vision.

I am beyond grateful for this journey, and excited for what's to come. I hope to continue creating and proving to my younger self that I am capable of making a beautiful life from what I am truly passionate about.

Thank you to all that love and support me, without any of you none of this would have been possible.
